The good news is that the 2016 version of Office for Mac will be compatible with macOS High Sierra, but the bad news is that it might encounter some issues as well. As a reminder, after that date, there will be no new security updates, non-security updates, free or paid assisted support options or technical content updates.’ The official announcement clearly states ‘All applications in the Office for Mac 2011 suite are reaching the end of support on October 10th, 2017. But even if it does, you can expect plenty of compatibility issues. It must be noted that the above statement doesn’t confirm whether Office for Mac 2011 won’t run with macOS High Sierra at all. “Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Lync have not been tested on macOS 10.13 High Sierra, and no formal support for this configuration will be provided.” In an announcement on its official support page, Microsoft has confirmed that they won’t be supporting Office for Mac 2011 on macOS High Sierra. On the contrary, Microsoft is further alienating the Mac users. It’s just not a polished product! The real bummer is that things aren’t going to get better any time soon.
